I'm listening to Tony Robbins latest book Money: Master the Game, or something like that. And it is all about becoming financially free to do what you want, and I'm coming across these other interesting sites:
New Escapologist Dividend Mantra Raptitude and of course Mr. Money Mustache I have a renewed energy to try to tackle this again. I started out trying to be like these guys 9 years ago. Got down to living off one income and saving one, but then we went down to one income and didn't cut our spending much :( Here is an interesting group The Carbon War Room. Their mission is
"The Carbon War Room accelerates the adoption of business solutions that reduce carbon emissions at gigaton scale and advance the low-carbon economy." http://www.carbonwarroom.com/what-we-do/mission-and-vision They acknowledge that we have the technology we need to solve our porblems, and they think the issue is lack of capital. That probably is a problem, but I don't think it will solve everything. Obviously I think they should be focusing on the consumer, focusing on the marketing. But not marketing in the sense of billboards, but marketing in the sense of how car makers make it easy and appealing to buy expensive cars. You know, payment plans and stuff. This guy is right on the 'money'! I wonder if he knows anything about Buckminster Fuller?
