I read this article 'Baby Boomers are killing themselves at an alarming rate. Why?'.
They have a few ideas in the article but I think there might be issues of lack of purpose or lose of control. I'm wondering if someone should start Boomers without Borders. The goal of which would be Baby Boomers working together to solve the problems they wanted to when they were young but never got around to. It could give them a community and a purpose in their retirement, providing the 2 keys to happiness as described by Barry Swartz here. And, these people are the most powerful people in the world. They have all the money, all the connections, and they are about to get a lot of free time.

I love the Skoll Foundation and I hope someday I can be part of it. They are doing great things, but I think they (like everyone else) are missing the very basic problem of cooperation. They are looking for disruptive technology, but none of it is going to work if we don't develop systems of cooperation. http://skollworldforum.org/forum-2013/sessions/ If anyone would understand what I'm saying here it would be Daniel Kahneman.
Maybe I should email his firm http://www.greatestgood.com/ Check out this episode of Your DNTO on CBC radiohttp://www.cbc.ca/dnto/your-dnto/2013/05/22/what-did-get-from-your-act-of-kindness/
I loved the story behind Got Bannok? I think this XPRIZE is pretty well in alignment with this site, and the soultion to it might be the most impactful thing that has ever happened if it got it just right. Hopefully it moves beyond 'Under Consideration"
African Entrepreneurship XPRIZE There are countless talented potential entrepreneurs in Africa. However, the training and support for these entrepreneurs to build scalable businesses are lacking. Creating success stories and role models of entrepreneurs able to build new start-up companies that employ significant numbers of individuals will help eliminate poverty in African nations.
